[00:03:28] The fun or impressed, it really was. We went on an adventure I made for you because we're

[00:03:36] hopping straight into the first question, which is for Emily? Actually, it's for all of us, but it's

[00:03:41] really for Emily, which is what made you come to the conclusion of getting Irene's necroman

[00:03:45] to save Rasputin and not the normal group. It's a question for me. You were the one who asked for it.

[00:03:54] Oh, yeah. I don't know why it just felt right. You were like, I want Irene's mom to

[00:04:02] like hang out and help boil at free Rasputin. How many made a reference to

[00:04:11] breaking out Rasputin? Yeah, she wanted to do that since literally the first step.

[00:04:16] Yes, first session. At the end of the first session, she's like, I'm going to jail-bay

[00:04:20] Rasputin. And since I knew at that point because something's changed, but for that first

[00:04:24] arc, I knew he was going to be replaced by the changeling from literally go. So when hell is like,

[00:04:30] I want jail-break, and I'm just saying, they're like, please, please don't do that. Like,

[00:04:35] the introduction of one of the main villains of the entire campaign hinges on you,

[00:04:41] not jail-breaking Rasputin. That's literally the only thing it hinges on.

[00:04:48] I think it was, they would be a great group to badly commit crimes.

[00:04:56] I mean, I wouldn't say they badly committed crimes. They know. They committed a lot of assaults.

[00:05:04] No, they specifically assaults. They did pretty well, but I wasn't going into it thinking,

[00:05:11] wow, they're going to be so good at committing crimes. Because how many people did they take out?

[00:05:15] They took out the ragtime guy on three separate occasions. They took out of Eury, and they took out

[00:05:24] two overseers all in the length of one afternoon. Correct. Yeah, and then the other reason this

[00:05:31] came to be eventually is because we were doing the crossover episodes. And with Iran's, it was

[00:05:39] her and Hilda with some monsrainers that they fought against. And in most situations,

[00:05:47] there could have been a way to be like, oh, I reans Necroman aren't here. But since it was a Necromanthemed

[00:05:53] adventure, the one with Hilda and Irene and the guest stars, it felt weird that her mons just weren't

[00:06:00] there. And I didn't want to make Ari and Halie join for a session where they were only

[00:06:09] man. Like, I do have them do that in an upcoming episode. But in that one, it's really designed

[00:06:15] around this is Irene and her Necromanth working as a team rather than how they usually work, which is kind of

[00:06:21] in the sidelines unless they try to go rogue. So we had the come up with some sort of justification

[00:06:28] for why they weren't there. And Emily asked multiple times to jailbreak recipe and for Boydle

[00:06:33] Rats. So I was like, Halie wanted it in the first session. Emily wanted the mom to do it.

[00:06:39] I set up a little bit that Boydle Rats has this missing her family thing. And I just missed

[00:06:46] Rasputin, even though he was technically only there for one episode. And then it was a fake

[00:06:52] until the most recent episode. I also think that like in the die hard episode, I think like

[00:07:02] then we played a little bit of the Necromanth doing a bit of side things and like we all

[00:07:09] javed really well doing that. So I think we also wanted to have more of that. So this was like

[00:07:16] a good excuse. Yeah, I think that's probably part of also why was like so we could have fun

[00:07:26] Necromanth venture. Every time we do it people say the players say we want to do it more. And I say

[00:07:34] that too. We all say we should do this again. Every time we have a mom focused adventure. And I feel like

[00:07:40] we both like I really like that. You know, first of course we just were given the concept of like,

[00:07:47] oh you know, these are the different Necromanths of Irene. And I think we just kind of randomly

[00:07:51] got assigned and Necromanth again and think we say I wanted this one. And like I think we each gave them

[00:07:58] the personalities like you know, we each kind of made them unique like, and made them make

[00:08:05] fuck you just a very like anxious like let's get this done team. Come on gang, but also like wrong

[00:08:13] what's up the time? I think Pocchio had the biggest glow up in part because I think the other

[00:08:20] man had some inherent personality to them like the mossies kind of had this sleepy vibe and Malaya,

[00:08:27] especially I mean you were yeah you came out swinging with Malaya it was like Malaya is big and

[00:08:32] often wants to fight. And like literally looking at the character design that's what Malaya is.

[00:08:37] Yeah. Pocchio didn't really have that and then Halli decided she wanted Pocchio to be a chef

[00:08:45] in the Necromanths. And Pocchio just became the biggest asshole after that. Pocchio is terrible,

[00:08:52] not as bad as Buccher. But this countness I guess, but like it's very good.

[00:09:04] So we went and we did this adventure. We played a familiar problem because Ari had heard about it

[00:09:12] because it's co written by a critical role member and they did a session. So we had talked about

[00:09:17] Ari maybe running that for us for a live stream or an episode or something one day. And then

[00:09:24] when this idea came about I was like oh, well I'll just use a familiar problem since we already

[00:09:29] have that established and then that might have been how Rasputin got more involved because I was like

[00:09:36] the magic is a core aspect of this that it's single use and it's weird. It's not the kind

[00:09:42] you normally have. And then I remembered well Rasputin mentions in the first episode that he has

[00:09:47] black magic he has dark magic. So the idea of you just all getting Rasputin's magic

[00:09:55] and except for Buccher and causing problems was was fun. The Buccher thing tied in with a

[00:10:02] personal want of mine which is I really really wanted Buccher to do underground fighting ever since

[00:10:08] Irene's rival when he started just fighting everybody. Like he was the one who's like I want

[00:10:14] to get this underground jousting club. I want to fight, I want to join it where Hilda's like

[00:10:18] all right we just got to solve some crimes. I had the idea for the longest time of a short story

[00:10:24] of Buccher sneaking out and doing underground fighting. So the idea of being able to make him the

[00:10:30] Buccher was just a great way of tying him in and also giving free exposition that's like hey,

[00:10:36] I can give you a character that will get you exactly where you need to go but it doesn't feel

[00:10:42] like I'm throwing in a cheap NPC because it's how I'm getting another character and another player

[00:10:47] involved. Yeah, I also feel like a lot of these personality things. Part of it is like making

[00:10:57] it clear that these necromaner each their own little individual beings and we're not forcing

[00:11:08] them to like cock fighting ring or something. Yeah, they each have their own reasons and have free

[00:11:15] will and so I feel like having them go off on an adventure to help each other help cement that as well.

[00:11:26] It also reinforces I think the idea because I mention I give like a bullshit excuse of like

[00:11:33] points or whatever for why Oman fights don't actually hurt but I feel like it's really felt

[00:11:39] when you go to the black box to fight Buccher and it's made really clear that this is not an

[00:11:47] necroman dual. This is a full on fist fight and you know it's different because every monics

[00:11:52] except for Malaya is scared out of their fucking mind. Malaya and Buccher are fun because I feel like

[00:11:58] both ready to fight but in very different ways. Yeah, I feel like Malaya is like kind of like the

[00:12:05] muscle headbro like the yeah man I want to fight or prove that I'm the biggest guy in the house

[00:12:11] and Buccher is a mass murderer with a knife. Yeah Buccher is a Buccher is that meme

[00:12:17] that video that I think is really funny of the crap with the knife. It's just I just so I love that

[00:12:26] like from game with the life but I feel like that's just Buccher. Both Buccher and Malaya would kill

[00:12:33] but I think for Malaya it would be yeah. Like Malaya would do it like maybe as a way to protect

[00:12:40] I read. Yeah. And Buccher is just like, how are we doing for fun? Let's come here to cry.

[00:12:47] Buccher kills for sport. Yeah. Buccher is the person who like the most the deadliest game where

[00:12:54] they put a bunch of people on an island. There's like a rich guy with a gun and he hudns the

[00:12:59] people down. I feel like a Buccher had the money. He would do that. He would hunt people.

[00:13:05] He would be like that Nicolas Cage, five nights of Freddy's movie or just like

[00:13:11] quiet who knows where he came from. He's just here to murder some animatronics just for the

[00:13:18] of it. This season is really allowing me to play assholes. And it's fun.

[00:13:31] Do you say I love this comment because you started this season one playing us

[00:13:39] Ellie intended or didn't hear it to be an asshole like in the first episode. Like I killed a man

[00:13:45] in the bar and then he was like slowly subjecting him more and more and just he was supposed to

[00:13:51] worried grandma. And so it's just very funny that now it's kind of the opposite for like

[00:13:59] I've come into my own as a role player. I'm not so afraid to be a jerk.

[00:14:08] I would still argue you're kind of doing the same though like let's first look at the spinoffs.

[00:14:14] Igg, very cute wants to be everyone's friend extremely dangerous.

[00:14:21] Burt, very cute wants to be everyone's friend extremely creepy. Meanwhile you have the like murderer

[00:14:30] with a heart of gold and then for this one you have Irene who from her conception was like a jerk

[00:14:37] but also it was important that you cared about her mom from the very beginning and like even

[00:14:42] the session we see her act like a kid one of the fans on the discord pointed out this is a first time

[00:14:48] we see her really be vulnerable and then Bucker. Bucker is interesting because he is

[00:14:59] I feel like he's in many ways nest amplified like I mentioned nest previously but like

[00:15:05] nest was a little criminal. Bucker is a full-on mass murderer. Nests you know eventually

[00:15:11] grew close to shock and everyone. Bucker is rider die-hilled from the get-go which I think is a

[00:15:18] really important aspect to him that I love is that he has decided this child is his child

[00:15:25] and he will do whatever this child wants but everyone else can get fucked. Yeah. It's very fun

[00:15:36] to explore his relationship to with the man. It feels like Bucker and the Necroman are more

[00:15:44] rivals than I read and held a R. Yeah, honestly. Like Irene claims their rivals but they're just friends

[00:15:52] but like Bucker and Malaya do like a pre-editing like a 20 minute showdown of just like

[00:15:58] I'll fucking fight you. No you're too small. I'll fucking fight you. No you're too small. Until

[00:16:04] the other ones are like guys guys calm chill the fuck out. Now I do want to see Bucker versus

[00:16:11] Malaya one on one and how that would go. Yeah, I don't know but Malaya would not come down.

[00:16:20] No. All right I have another question which relates to the another aspect of the plot so we

[00:16:27] have the one aspect that's jail-breaking Rasputin connecting with the man and fusion which is

[00:16:34] a canic I had for a long time and I think this was the best way to show it but the other aspect

[00:16:41] was learning about the phantoms of the opera which was something I was planning not to reveal until like

[00:16:48] the final arc of the campaign but they just fit in so perfectly when I reread stuff and I was like

[00:16:55] oh there's some phantom there's a phantom of the opera and then I listened to the chord of miracles

[00:16:59] and I was like be really funny if they encountered the chord of miracles. A Tim career organ that

[00:17:05] was fully improvised. That would that just happened in the moment but a question is at the end of it

[00:17:14] Ronda's like hey I have some questions about Eddie who's taken before you or I want to know what

[00:17:21] happened to Eddie and Rasputin's like I need a place for me and my dozens of voidal rats to live.

[00:17:27] Can I live with you and a fan is asked will Ronda and Rasputin make good roommates or is this

[00:17:34] doomed to fail? I really breast you didn't can't groom with anybody that isn't his

[00:17:42] voidal boyfriends. Yeah I don't think Ronda's gonna be the issue here. I feel like because there's

[00:17:49] a bunch of people in the in the phantoms and the only one Ronda ever seems to express to

[00:17:57] stain for his Lucas bang which that's an interesting thing to explore why she doesn't my

[00:18:02] guesses that he betrayed the people close to him and was a coward and Ronda is very rider die.

[00:18:09] As is despite all of his faults and him technically being a turncoat Eddie was also ride and die

[00:18:15] Ronda. So I think that might be why she dislikes Lucas so I feel like he won't have an issue with

[00:18:22] her specifically. I feel like he's gonna have an issue with every other playwright that is part

[00:18:27] of the phantoms and Ronda's gonna have to navigate that issue. Yeah yeah I feel like those two would

[00:18:35] bring out the best and the worst in each other comedy TV show style in like a random flat in

[00:18:45] they're the odd couple not romantically but like the odd couple TV show of two rumors.

[00:18:53] Yeah like I feel like they wouldn't do well when they're living with a bunch of other people too

[00:18:59] but when it's like just them they're kind of chill actually. For some reason I just thought

[00:19:06] I've rest but you're gonna be pop you la. Go damn it.

[00:19:26] Am I wrong? I dare you to tell me I'm wrong you know I'm not. You are not incorrect.

[00:19:33] I also imagine Ronda being like this is my fuck up sod Rasbutin. Technically I am significantly

[00:19:40] older than Ronda but yes I am her fuck up son in just like the context of like this person

[00:19:49] that Ronda gives extra attention to because of his connection with Eddie and everyone's like why does he

[00:19:54] get so much special attention? He's a fuck up. It's like listen I know he is but he's got a big heart

[00:20:00] and unlike some people here he didn't but try anyone. And then Lucas being gets put out on another

[00:20:08] shitty mission as Ronda's way of like breaking a man. I choose to believe that Lucas gets put

[00:20:13] on the most missions because he is the most expendable. Yeah that sounds right. Listen the fans

[00:20:20] a lot of Lucas being back I didn't expect him to come back but because he's coming back now and not

[00:20:26] after multiple arcs for him to get character development that boy is going to have to work to

[00:20:30] get his redemption. He's going to have to put in the work. That is mostly Sparky's problem.

[00:20:39] Yeah um sorry I just had a random thought because we kept joking about like Ronda and Rasbutin

[00:20:45] being like platonic odd couple but then I was like what is the relationship between Ronda and Eddie

[00:20:51] and if there is any attraction what does that mean for how she views KK? Oh no no please no

[00:21:05] no hey there big fella. Hi you do it. Ronda is a safety-o-sexual. No that's still doesn't

[00:21:17] so she's only attracted to Eddie. Oh that's just rude. Just KK I didn't want you to be

[00:22:10] got you know a lot of attention where she disregards him. She cares more about her rival

[00:22:14] with JFK right? I feel like Eddie is the level of like rival that KK actually gets. Yeah

[00:22:24] what is the one that he doesn't want? Yeah he's a Lionel more of a rival than

[00:22:31] than he would be see Eddie. He just doesn't like the concept of Eddie. What has Lionel ever done to you

[00:22:40] well I won't say for risk of spoilers but the current situation with KK is a Lionel it's not

[00:22:49] good it's a very bad rather dire and I leave in fear for what the future brings. It's going to be

[00:22:59] a while I have a feeling you're gonna be stuck with this for a while. No I'm not talking like multiple

[00:23:08] arcs but like probably at least a couple more sessions. I'll play it by ear God damn it dusty.

[00:23:23] complication you personally have to deal with during or before recording? Dog. Dog is a

[00:23:30] complication usually not our dog because we don't usually record at home. It's true oh so you're

[00:23:36] mentioning my dog in all cases that's the couple of occasions. I'm mentioning I'm I'm using it to

[00:23:44] transition so that I don't have to deal with dusty or I can transition to me dealing with dusty

[00:23:49] while people talk. That is fair I mean yeah dog is mine as well I try to take her out before recording

[00:23:57] so she's tired but then she takes some time to wind down so she actually increases her

[00:24:05] hyperactive behavior right when recording starts. But I'm like I'm kind of nailed it like if I take

[00:24:13] her out a couple of hours before the recording then there's the wind down time and then there's

[00:24:21] the recording and that's what happened today and she says keep yeah we we usually don't have

[00:24:28] dusty we usually put an Emily's parents or we often don't record so he's not usually a problem

[00:24:34] but he is right now I'm actually when I finish going through my complications I will go get him

[00:24:40] but I'd say the ones we usually deal with when I record at home I get hot as hell because there's a fan

[00:24:46] that I could put on but I don't want to put on and then anxiety anxiety it's a big complication

[00:24:55] I take my I take my bus of prone my bus of prone I don't do it all the time now but I used to do

[00:25:01] before every recording that was around the time things like the Tim Curry organ happened was when I took my

[00:25:08] anti anxiety meds and I got loose enough to be like I'm gonna be a sexy Tim Curry

[00:26:48] like capturing and killing anesthesia rolling off the whole lyrics are changed so that he is talking

[00:26:54] about adopting a new pet specifically a new boy to Brad it is the song he's saying when he

[00:27:00] adopted anesthesia who is now Irene's boy to rat but two in the dark of the night is interesting

[00:27:06] because it's kind of a really dark cool song listen but it has these weird dancing bugs that are

[00:27:12] a little too funny and kind of ruined the vibe a bit that is the version that our Rasputin has

[00:27:19] the one with the weird ass bugs and like the tonal whip lash because he's just a goofy guy

[00:27:26] he is just a goofy guy Rasputin is this arcs of a sparring and we have a sparring actually redeemed

[00:27:33] himself we just replaced a shitty Rasputin with a nicer Rasputin and that was how he got him redeemed

[00:27:43] so yeah in the dark of the night is a theme for Rasputin and then the second question is if you could

[00:27:48] have a mom based on the last song you listen to what would it be and what power would it have

[00:27:52] so mine is hatchet town from nerdy prud's must die a star could musical

[00:28:00] and it is a genre of song I really like which I call the world freaks out it's that it's murder

[00:31:35] like a detail like a parody necroman that but instead of just being like the face with the little

[00:31:41] thing it would like transform into a parody version of or like an alternative version of the

[00:31:49] it's uh mimicking and the name of the necroman would change like what it says re introverts

[00:31:56] depending on who it is uh mimicking. I really like the idea of dedo singing take off your clothes

[00:32:13] did oh mon we have we have so many copycat mon that literally became an element. Excellent I mean
